Daily Trading Recap - 2/11/26
TLDR
Took a D2 gap-up short on QNCX, full loss on the morning attempt.
Came back in the afternoon when it clearly failed and caught the fade.
Played HURA as a first red day setup, covered the flush, minor add later.
Trades I Took
QNCX 0.00%↑
QNCX was the main focus. It’s a sub-$1 name that already had a big gap yesterday, extended hard into the afternoon, went parabolic after hours, and then gapped again this morning. A 500% move in a few days puts it on my radar for a short.
I missed the ideal early premarket entry, so I took a starter just to reduce FOMO while waiting for a better bounce. At the open, I added to full size. The thesis was that any push would be a lower high.
It didn’t work and I got stopped out for a full loss. No issue, just wrong on timing.
I left it alone until the afternoon. It failed multiple times to break higher right underneath the $1 level. I felt confident that it had trapped enough buyers and once it made a lower low I got short. As the trade worked I added more shares, and this time it worked. I covered the majority into the mid .50s and locked it in.
HURA 0.00%↑
HURA was a first red day setup. After a strong prior run, I was looking for that first meaningful pullback where early longs start taking profit.
I started with a half-size short and planned to add the other half on a confirmation signal. I ended up getting the rest on a bounce.
We got the flush I was looking for and I covered into the weakness. Later in the day I added some back on a pop, but we ran out of time so I took it off. Solid trade overall.
Swings
No swing changes today. Most of my focus stayed on intraday setups, especially the small caps with clear exhaustion patterns.
It’s hard to tell just from looking at the indices, but under the hood many individual stocks and groups of stocks are swinging wildly in different directions. Once things begin to look more constructive I’ll actively look to build out more swing positions.
Current holdings: GEVX
Takeaways
Today was a good reminder not to abandon a setup just because you took a loss on it earlier. My system tells me exactly what I need to wait for and see in order to re-enter the position. I didn’t need to guess which takes the pressure off.

Nice job, pretty much same exact trade on QNCX
