Daily Trading Recap - 2/27/26
Happy Friday
TLDR
Slow premarket. Felt myself searching for ideas, so I stayed vigilant.
ENSC provided opportunity but lacked strong follow through late.
NVDA tough read, stopped me both ways.
Locked in some EQT swing gains.
Trades I Took
ENSC 0.00%↑
ENSC was the main gapper and trading huge volume. It had all the ingredients to be a problem ticker, so I stayed cautious. I caught a clean short at the open, but when it bounced and reclaimed VWAP, I flattened. Volume started pouring in so there was no reason to be aggressive.
It accelerated toward premarket highs and looked like it might break out. Instead it met sellers and put in a big double top. I started small on the short. Waited for confirmation then sized in aggressively.
It consolidated most of the afternoon and looked good for an end of day fade, but couldn’t breakdown with any force. I closed it at the bell for a small win.
NVDA 0.00%↑
NVDA was still weak after earnings. It looked like it had room lower, but 180 was also a clear level and it was already extended from the gap down. I didn’t have a clear bias.
I shorted the higher timeframe ORB with a tight leash. Didn’t work. Later it looked like the long thesis was in play as it had a moment of strength, so I tried the long. That failed too.
Just choppy, conflicting price action. In hindsight there may have been a later short, but I wasn’t forcing anything on a Friday.
Swings and Other Notable Mentions
EQT swing was up nicely. I sold a piece to lock in gains.
NFLX trended cleanly after a morning shakeout. Memory names like SNDK and MU still look constructive. Datacenters were weak, but nothing else felt actionable.
Takeaways
The biggest win was discipline. I felt myself searching for trades midday instead of waiting for the obvious setups. My trade frequency this week has decreased a ton. I’m only doing 1-2 tickers per day. I’m fine being patient and sitting out when there low quality out there.
Going into next week: keep waiting for A+ setups and press only when the market shows its hand.
